How we use your data when we contact your business

This page explains the outreach emails we send to local businesses. Last reviewed August 2026.

Who is contacting you

Space4Promotion is a hyper-local digital advertising business based in Harlow, Essex. We place digital screens in local taxis and venues and show short adverts for nearby businesses. If you received an email from Grant at onboarding@space4promotion.com, that is us.

What data we hold about you

Where we got it

From public sources: online business directories and map listings, and your own public website. We record which search and which page each detail came from, and the date we collected it, so we can show why and how you were contacted.

Why we are allowed to contact you

For businesses that are limited companies or similar organisations, UK marketing rules (PECR) allow a business-to-business approach of this kind. We rely on our legitimate interest in offering a relevant local advertising service, balanced against your interests — which is why the email is short, clearly identifies us, and always offers a one-click way to stop.

If you are a sole trader or an individual, different rules apply. Tell us and we will remove you and not contact you again.

How long we keep it

If you do not respond, we close the approach after a short sequence of emails and stop contacting you. If you ask us to stop, we keep only the minimum needed — your email address or domain on a suppression list — so that we do not accidentally contact you again in future.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use Google Workspace to send and receive email. That is the only third party involved in this outreach.
